3 killed in fiery crash in Osceola County, troopers say

KENANSVILLE, Fla. — Three people were killed and two were injured Friday night in a fiery, four-vehicle crash near Kenansville, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at about 9:20 p.m. in the area of Peavine Road and State Road 60, troopers said.

Jonathan Garcia, 22 of Kissimmee, was driving a 2011 Honda east on SR 60 when he tried passing several vehicles, but hit the front right of a 2002 Chevy pickup heading west.

Both Garcia and his passenger, Isiah Wilborn, 22 of Haines City, died in the crash.

A box truck unable to avoid the crash rear-ended the pickup, troopers said. The driver of the pickup later died at the hospital. His name has not been released, troopers said.

Trooper said they aren't sure if Garcia was trying to pass a 2016 Jeep SUV driving in front of him, which also got hit in the crash.

The Jeep's driver sustained minor injuries, according to the crash report.

No other information was immediately released.
