ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said Florida is one month away from the peak of coronavirus cases in the state.

Demings shared a heat map of where officials are seeing the biggest clusters of cases in Orange County.

Two more Orange County firefighters tested positive and an Orlando firefighter, but no firefighters had to be hospitalized.

Orange County’s rental assistance program ended Wednesday, leaving thousands of people without the help of the program.

Demings said more than 30,000 people applied, but they only budgeted 1.8 million taxpayer dollars to help 1,500 people. He said they will be going well over the budget.

There are now more than 400 positive patients in Orange County.
