Guardians fall to San Antonio in home opener, drop to 0-2

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Guardians lost to the San Antonio Brahmas 30-12 Sunday afternoon in their first home game in franchise history.

The Guardians quarterbacks only combined for 75 passing yards in the loss. Paxton Lynch finished 9/19 for 79 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Former Florida State and Olympia High School star Deondre Francois finished 6/13 for eight yards with a touchdown and one interception.

Orlando committed 13 penalties Sunday at Camping World Stadium in front of just over 12,000 fans.

“I feel like we’re heading in the right direction,” said Guardians head coach Terrell Buckley. “Like I told the players and the coaches, we want to reel back everything when we get back first thing in the morning.”

The Guardians (0-2) return to action March 5 on the road against the Arlington Renegages.
