UPDATE: The game is still on despite the bad weather in the northeast!
According to D.C. United, the team was in the air this morning on a small charter jet. Here's the full statement from the team:
The players along with our athletic trainer and physical prep coach departed around 9 a.m. in a small charter jet.
The rest of the staff and the equipment, including our coaching staff, are leaving DC in a separate plane in the next hour.
Upon arrival the team will resume their typical pregame routine in preparation for tonight's match.
This is the 4th time in less than two years we have traveled by private charter on game day because of bad weather and flight cancellations.
