Social Workers are worried about the children in Foster Care during this pandemic

ORLANDO, Fla. — Social Workers and Child Advocates continue to look out for children in the Foster Care System, they suspect abuse is happening during this time of social distancing.

Uncertain times can drive up those factors that lead to domestic violence. Glenn Casel says “How this particular crisis will impact foster care, we don’t yet know, because our eyes and ears frequently rely on those educators and those healthcare professionals that are now at home.” This is making children in foster care, at risk of child abuse, less visible.
