‘Tron,’ ‘Moana’ and ‘Zootopia’: D23 Expo details new attractions coming to Walt Disney World

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Disney officials shared details over the weekend about new attractions coming to Walt Disney World.

During the D23 Expo in California, the company announced the Tron Light-Cycle Run roller coaster in Tomorrowland is set to open in spring.

The Splash Mountain’s re-theming to “The Princess and the Frog? is planned to open in late 2024.

The company said it is also developing attractions at Animal Kingdom based on “Moana” and “Zootopia.”

Other projects include “Coco,” “Encanto” and the “Disney Villains” at Magic Kingdom.
