Villain-Con Minion Blast: Universal Orlando announces new attraction opening next summer

ORLANDO, Fla. — There’s a new “Minions” themed attraction opening at Universal Orlando next summer.

Theme park officials announced Thursday that Villain-Con Minion Blast will open in the new Minion Land in summer 2023.

Officials said the attraction will be an interactive, blaster-game experience where guest can put their villainous skills to the test competing against each other to join the ranks of the franchise’s most infamous supervillains.

Officials said the ride will transport guests to “Villain-Con,” the biggest criminal convention on the planet, to take part in a competition to see if they have what it takes to become the newest member of The Vicious 6, from “Minions: The Rise of Gru.”
