1 Dead, 3 Injured In Serious Palm Bay Crash

PALM BAY, Fla. — Traffic homicide officials in Palm Bay are investigating a crash that left one person dead and sent three others to the the hospital overnight.

Just before 2:30am Palm Bay Fire Rescue responded to the 1300 block of Jupiter Boulevard after receiving reports of a vehicle crash involving a Chevy Impala and a Chevy Silverado with a trailer attached.

Four people were found in need of medical assistance. One male victim, the driver of the Chevy Impala, was airlifted to the hospital but is described as "awake and alert," according to FHP. The fourth victim, the passenger in the Impala, was pronounced dead on scene, FHP said.

Two other victims, a 19-year-old male driver and an 18-year-old female passenger of the truck, were transported by ambulance.

Traffic homicide investigators said they have determined that the Impala was traveling at a high rate of speed Southbound on Jupiter Boulevard when it struck the Chevy Silverado truck as it was backing into a driveway.

Investigators said they are attempting to confirm the identities of the victims. The investigation is ongoing.
