The investigation all started with an alleged assault at a car shop. The alleged assault involved a Bunnell city commissioner when he was on the job for his towing company, trying to get payment from a car dealership.
WFTV found Commissioner Jim Flynt has been cleared in that case, but he's still under investigation over allegations he accepted illegal business and help from his friends at the police department.
Bunnell police Lieutenant John Murray, who is second in command, and his wife, Lisa who is also an officer, are about to be fired.
"Their termination will be, has been suggested, and will be effective tomorrow," said Arthur Jones, Bunnell Police Chief.
Both officers are under arrest.
Lt. Murray is accused of stealing cocaine, prescription drugs and $1,380 during investigations. His wife is accused of falsifying documents concerning drug evidence and an alleged assault involving city commissioner and tow service owner Jimmy Flynt.

Flynt admits he accepted business from the Bunnell Police Department when he was not on-call for the police. Police call three tow services in rotation every three weeks.
"You say you thought you were on rotation even though you had just been a week before?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Flynt.
"I didn't realize the week before situation until I went back to the calendar," Flynt said.
He admits he is friends with Murray who is accused of illegally sending hundreds of dollars worth of business Flynt's way, often when towing was not even necessary.
Murray could not explain it. Prosecutors told WFTV they haven't cleared anyone in the police towing investigation at this point.
Flynt is an eight-year Bunnell city commissioner, most recently running unopposed. He insists he's done nothing wrong.
