Disney closes some attractions at Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Disney reopened it’s doors for all its parks across Central Florida this week, but some attractions in the parks aren’t opening along with it.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Primeval Whirl roller coaster will not reopen to guests, a Disney spokesperson said. In addition, the Animal Kingdom nighttime show Rivers of Light: We Are One will also not return.

Primeval Whirl, located within DinoLand U.S.A. of Animal Kingdom, had previously only been operating seasonally.

At Magic Kingdom, Stitch’s Great Escape will also remain permanently closed, Disney said. The attraction, located inside Tomorrowland, had previously been listed as “temporarily closed” for some time.

Disney reopened Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom on Saturday, and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on Wednesday. All the parks now have enhanced safety procedures including temperature checks, and mandatory face masks.
