1 dead, 1 injured in Orlando car crash, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. — One person has died and another has been transported to the hospital following a car accident Tuesday afternoon at John Young Parkway and Shader Road, police said.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection.

Police said the northeast portion of the intersection is closed, and officers are diverting traffic onto Princeton Street for traffic heading northbound on John Young Parkway.

Shader Road heading westbound is blocked at Orange Blossom Trail, as is John Young Parkway northbound at Silver Star Road, police said.
