2 people injured in Fruitland Park drive-by shooting

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. — Fruitland Park police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured two people Wednesday morning.

Police Chief Erik Luce said the shooting happened on Urick Street in the Fruitland Acre apartment complex just after 11 a.m.

Luce said the passenger in a car opened fire. He said an occupied apartment was struck by several rounds. Officers said two adults were hit and taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said there are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
