ORLANDO, Fla. — The Global Peace Film Festival will return to a live event format at locations in Winter Park and Orlando for 2022.
The festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this fall, will feature a selection of feature and short films and runs Monday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Sept. 25.
Like last year, film goers will be able to screen films both in-person and online.
The festival will coincide with the International Day of Peace on Sept. 21 and feature films highlighting themes such as civil rights, environmental justice, ethics, human rights, immigration, and more.
Executive Director Nina Streich said the festival aims to encourage people to get involved and promote change.
“Rather than a passive experience, our aim for the festival is to motivate people to make the large or small, but always important changes to improve their lives and those of their neighbors,” Striech said.
The Global Peace Film Festival was established in 2003 to provide a place for open dialogue and use film as a catalyst for change.
