4 teachers test positive at Lake County day care

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lake County day care said four of its teachers have tested positive for COVID-19.

Officials from the Wellington Academy IC Clermont on North Ridge Boulevard said they remained open through the pandemic.

Officials said once they learned of the positive cases, those affected were sent home and the school was cleaned and sanitized.

Day care administrators said they also contacted the Department of Health and Department of Children and Families.

So far, they said, no students have tested positive and the day care has remained open for business.
