Here are our top 9 Cinco de Mayo events in Central Florida.

  • Hourglass Brewing will host Batalla de Taqueria beginning Friday at 4 p.m. There will be plenty of food, margaritas and beer. Click here for details.
  • Cinco on the Street in Thornton Park returns for its second year. The 808 is hosting the event complete with music, games and drink. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door and comes with one free drink. Click here to purchase in advance.

  • Celery City Craft will host the “Nacho Average Salsa Competition” at Celery City Craft on Palmetto Avenue in Sanford. Sample salsa at various locations and cast your votes for the best. You can also purchase and vote for your favorite specialty margarita and be entered into a raffle for a gift basket valued at $300. Click here for more details.
  • Promenade at Sunset Walk’s street party and celebration begins Friday at 5 p.m. with two stages highlighting several genres, dancing and street performers. The event is free.
  • The Whole Enchilada in Winter Garden will host “Don’t Tequila My Vibe” Friday and Saturday for a whole weekend of festivities. The event is free and there will be drink specials. Click here for details.

  • At Tin Roof, the Cinco de Mayo festivities begin at noon Friday, with a taco eating contest set for 9:30 p.m.
