DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — AdventHealth Daytona Beach has completed a major expansion designed to meet growing demand for emergency and inpatient care in Volusia County.
The project brings the hospital’s total footprint to nearly 1 million square feet and increases its capacity to 466 inpatient beds.
The expansion includes 104 intensive and progressive care beds, an expanded cardiovascular intensive care unit and a dedicated neurological intensive care unit.
The hospital also added four surgical suites, smart room technology and additional CT and MRI equipment. Its pharmacy, laboratory and sterile processing areas were expanded, and a new parking lot provides 287 spaces.
Additional unfinished space was included to accommodate future growth.
Construction began in summer 2024. AdventHealth will mark the project’s completion with a private ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 26.
