Baseball-sized hail, tree damage reported as storms move through Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — 6:20 P.M. UPDATE: Chief Meteorologist Tom Terry said the hail that fell Tuesday is some of the largest he’s ever seen reported in Central Florida. See a wrap up of the damage reported so far below:

5:05 P.M. UPDATE: Viewers are sharing photos of hail that fell in Lake County. See the pictures below:

4:50 P.M. UPDATE: Chief Meteorologist Tom Terry said baseball-sized hail and tree damage has been reported in Lake County as storms move through Central Florida.

Terry said nickel-sized hail fell in Lake Lake and tree damage was reported in Mascotte.

Terry is tracking the storms live now on Channel 9.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Some in Central Florida could see afternoon storms on Tuesday.

Our area will have a 50% chance of scattered storms in the afternoon.

The high temperature in Orlando should reach around 81 degrees Tuesday afternoon.

We will continue to see rain and showers for some and lows in the 60s Tuesday evening.

Scattered showers and storms say in the forecast for the next several days.

A stalled front is going to keep Central Florida’s forecast active through the weekend.
