AT&T offers support to customers following earthquake in Turkey, Syria

ORLANDO, Fla. — Following the catastrophic earthquake that shook parts of Turkey and Syria on Monday, AT&T announced that it has been working to keep customers connected to their loved ones in impacted regions.

AT&T said that between Feb. 7 and March 9, it will offer its consumer and business customers unlimited long distance calling to and from the U.S. to Turkey and Syria.

The company said it will also offer unlimited SMS texting to and from the U.S. to Turkey.

The offer will be valid for AT&T’s wireless and landline consumer and business customers, AT&T said.

Officials said that international roaming charges in Turkey and Syria for all AT&T Postpaid customers will be waived during this time period.

AT&T noted that customers may still receive alerts during these dates, but that accounts will reflect the credits and/or waived voice and text charges.
