KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A BB gun was found Friday afternoon in a student’s backpack at Osceola High School, the Kissimmee Police Department said.

The student was taken into custody.

No one was injured in the incident.

The school has been placed on a lockdown.

On Wednesday, there was a false report of a possible weapon on campus at Liberty High School. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said three students were simulating a school shooting in that incident. Click here to read more.

On Thursday, a 15-year-old Lake Mary High School student was arrested for having a gun on campus, police said. The student’s mother called school officials to warn them that one of her children was possibly at school with a gun, an arrest report said. Click here to read more.
