SANFORD, Fla. — Sanford police are asking for the public’s help identifying the drivers of two BMW 530 vehicles believed to be connected to a shooting that left multiple people injured during a gathering in Sanford.
Investigators announced they are seeking photos, videos, or other information that could help identify the drivers involved in the Sept. 19 incident.
According to reports, at least eight people were injured, including two victims who were in critical condition.
Police are specifically asking anyone who captured images or video showing the drivers of either BMW to come forward.
The request comes as a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that helps investigators identify those responsible.
“Our hearts go out to everyone who was injured, the families waiting for answers, and everyone in Sanford affected by what happened,” said Daniel Brooks Chapin, founder and president of the Youth Peace & Justice Foundation.
“People deserve answers, and investigators need the information necessary to identify those responsible. We hope this reward encourages anyone who knows something to come forward through the proper channels,” Chapin said.
