ORLANDO, Fla. — Kelly Rizzo, the widow of comedian Bob Saget, took to Instagram this weekend to share details of the last Christmas she shared with her husband.
“Cherish every single moment. I certainly didn’t think that our first Christmas together (in the same city) last year would be our last.”
Rizzo shared that the couple spent last Christmas with her family in Chicago, where Bob spent time with Rizzo’s nieces Alex and Brooklyn, and that Alex still talks about “Uncle Bob” all the time.
Rizzo ended the post by thanking everyone for their support over the past year.
“I cannot thank you all enough for almost a full year of all the love and support and kindness from everyone.”
Saget passed away in Orlando on Jan. 9, 2022. He was 65.
Saget, best known as patriarch Danny Tanner on “Full House,” was in Orlando for a show when he was found unresponsive at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, by hotel staff.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the hotel and pronounced Saget deceased.
A couple of months later, Orange County deputies stated that a medical examiner found accidental head trauma to be the cause of Saget’s death, and drugs and alcohol were not found in his system.
