1 hurt, 1 in critical condition after apartment catches fire in Cape Canaveral

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Two people were injured in a fire at an apartment in Cape Canaveral on Wednesday morning, according to firefighters.

The apartment complex is located on Johnson Avenue and North Atlantic Avenue, just off A1A.

Firefighters said one unit was damaged.

One person hurt in the fire is in critical condition, according to firefighters. The other person was treated on scene.

The cause of the blaze is not known.

Fire officials said the blaze was extinguished in 10 minutes.

In all, about 30 firefighters responded, including help from neighboring agencies.
