Hope was found stranded in Indian River County and was brought to the Healing Center on Nov. 19.

Once Hope arrived, the Healing Center team found that was extremely buoyant – making them unable to dive. A sea turtle who is unable to dive may find it difficult to avoid predators, boats and other hazards.

After a series of tests, Hope was treated for an inflammation of the digestive tract.

According to a news release, “Hope will be remembered by the Healing Center team as a ‘sassy sub-adult with a great fight or flight instinct,’ and is ready to go home to the ocean.
