Motorcyclist killed in Brevard County in early morning crash, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger left with serious injuries in an early Sunday morning crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened near the intersection of US-1 and Sunset Avenue around 1 a.m. in Brevard County.

Troopers said a Harley Davidson was exiting a parking lot onto US-1 and drove into the path of an oncoming Chevy Impala.

Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle, both from Palm Bay, were thrown off the bike.

The 65-year-old male driver of the Harley was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The 48-year-old female passenger remains in the hospital with injuries that are considered critical.

The male driver of the Impala, 25, was not injured and remained on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation.
