PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. — After months of anticipation and delay, Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Wish, will be arriving Monday morning for the first time to Port Canaveral.
The pandemic originally pushed things back after the shipyard experienced delays getting parts from Germany to finish construction, but now the ship is near its new home.
People will be meeting bright and early Monday at Jetty Park to set sail on the Disney Wish’s maiden voyage.
Officials said it will be a trip unlike any other cruise passengers have experienced before.
Disney Wish has the company’s first-ever attraction called the “AquaMouse,” a water ride that’s 760 feet tall.
Guests can also see what it takes to be an “imagineer” and create a roller coaster.
The cruise will go to the Bahamas and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
Jetty Park will be open starting at 4 a.m. Monday.
