Sea turtle rescued after eating fishing line to return to sea in Cocoa Beach

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — People in Brevard County can watch a beloved sea turtle make the journey back to the ocean.

Brevard Zoo spent the last five months nursing Nephron, a juvenile green sea turtle, back to health.

The young turtle needed surgery to remove over 6 feet of fishing line it ate.

Nephron will take his trip back to the sea around 10:30 a.m. at the Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach.
