Shooter in the Palm Bay storage unit shooting identified by deputies

Initial reports suggest that the victim’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time

UPDATE:

PALM BAY, Fla. — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the shooter in the Palm Bay storage facility shooting.

Kandice Jo Pierce was identified as the shooter and the person who recently rented the storage unit where the shooting occurred.

According to deputies, another woman was inside the unit at the time of the shooting as well.

Deputies are currently working on serving a warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder for Pierce.

She was last seen at the Racetrack on Palm Bay Road.

PREVIOUS STORY:

An employee was shot during a dispute with a customer over a storage unit at Stor All Management in Palm Bay, according to preliminary information.

The shooting happened at 4630 Babcock Street NE. The employee’s injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

Preliminary information indicates a small-caliber handgun may have been used.

The suspect has not been arrested. There does not appear to be a threat to the community at this time.
