SpaceX delays weekend Falcon 9 rocket launch at Kennedy Space Center to Monday

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — A planned rocket launch this weekend has been moved to Monday, according to SpaceX.

SpaceX announced Saturday afternoon that a Falcon 9 rocket launch that was planned for Sunday has been delayed until Monday.

The company said the delay was caused by weather concerns for the recovery of the first stage of the rocket.

The launch is now set for Monday at 9:44 a.m. from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

This launch is part of SpaceX’s Starlink mission.

SpaceX has said that the goal of Starlink is to create a network of satellites that will help provide internet services to those who are not yet connected, and to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe.
