BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — One of two SpaceX launches scheduled this week from the Space Coast took place early Thursday morning.
A Falcon 9 rocket launched around 1:19 a.m. It carried a batch of Starlink satellites to create a global high-speed internet network.

A second rocket, also carrying a batch of Starlink satellites, launches Friday at 5:14 a.m.
SpaceX originally planned to launch both rockets within hours of each other, but it said it wants to allow additional time for prelaunch checks.
To allow additional time for pre-launch checks, now targeting Friday, February 5 at 5:14 a.m. EST for launch of Starlink from LC-39A
