Brevard school board shakeup sees interim superintendent placed on administrative leave

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County’s interim superintendent is now on administrative leave, following a unanimous school board vote.

This is a new acting superintendent of Brevard Public Schools.

The big change comes after the school board voted to put interim superintendent, Dr. Robert Schiller on administrative leave.

Some school leaders had already expressed concerns about finding a permanent superintendent, before the move.

Instead, they are replacing their replacement.

Tuesday night’s meeting was supposed to be about potentially extending Schiller’s contract until June 30 as they continue the search for a new superintendent.
