The recount will determine the outcome of the District 33 State Representative race and the City Council election for the City of Cape Canaveral.

Meanwhile, the Florida Department of State indicates two Central Florida congressional races will likely avoid a recount.

Republican Ryan Elijah maintains a lead over Democrat Bale Dalton in District 7, while sitting Democrat Darren Soto holds an advantage against Republican opponent Dan Green in District 9.

District 9 encompasses segments of Osceola and Orange counties, where district boundaries were adjusted earlier this year.

In District 7, Elijah secured a primary victory over Cory Mills in August.

Major news organizations have yet to declare a victor for either congressional district.

Machine recounting is set to commence at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Election Support Center in Melbourne.
