Deputies: ‘Altercation’ leads to shooting in Deltona

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Thursday.

Deputies were called to the intersection of Wilmington Drive and Tivoli Drive just after 6:15 p.m. for reports of a person shot.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated. The sheriff’s office didn’t comment on the severity of his injuries.

Deputies say the victim was shot during some kind of “altercation.”

According to the sheriff’s office, one person possibly involved in the shooting is being interviewed, but no arrests have been made.
