Detectives released a video Tuesday of what they believe is the suspect vehicle involved in the murder of an Orange County mother found shot to death in the driveway of a home last week.

In the surveillance video, you can see a car follow another car driven by a friend of Roxana Sanchez as they entered the Winding Creek subdivision just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday

Investigators said Sanchez and a friend had been out shopping earlier in the evening. The women had just returned home when two suspects attempted to carjack them.

According to deputies, during the carjacking one of the suspects opened fire on the car, hitting Sanchez as she sat in the passenger seat.

“The driver, in fear, put the car in reverse striking the suspect’s car. The passenger suspect started shooting and that is the side Roxana was sitting on” said detective Joe Covelli.

When deputies arrived at the home they found Sanchez, shot and lying in the driveway.

Sanchez was transported to the hospital where she later died.

Roxana’s sister, Yahaira Viado, fought back tears as she spoke directly to those responsible.

“Know that you left two young boys without a mom right before Mother’s Day. They made cards for her that they never got to give to her’’, she said.

Deputies said the suspect vehicle appears to be a white or silver 4-door sedan with a sunroof.
