Deputies: Man robs CVS, demands pills from pharmacy

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies are searching for an armed man who they said robbed a CVS store early Wednesday evening.

Deputies said the robber stormed into the store on Landstar Boulevard in the Meadow Woods Plaza around 7 p.m. while the store was packed with customers.

Investigators said the robber went straight to the pharmacy, implied to the pharmacy technician that he had a gun and demanded drugs.

The technician didn’t believe him and went to get a manager.

At that point deputies said the suspect was more demanding and again implied he had a gun, so the technician handed over the drugs.

“I walk by here every day. All the sudden I see this commotion going on, I see patrol cars and I see the crime scene tape,” said customer Chris Cuadrado.

No one was hurt during the robbery and investigators have not released the surveillance video.
