GROVELAND, Fla. — A man is accused of firing multiple rounds toward his brother and into a home on Tuesday afternoon following an argument in Groveland, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 12:18 p.m. to a reported shooting at a residence along State Road 33.
Investigators said the incident began when two brothers became involved in a verbal dispute over an alleged theft. During the argument, the victim threw a ceramic bowl at the suspect.
According to deputies, the suspect then went to his residence, retrieved a rifle, and pointed it toward the victim before firing multiple rounds in the victim’s direction.
Several bullets struck the victim’s home, the sheriff’s office said. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the suspect was last seen returning to his residence after the shooting.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and additional resources responded to the area as deputies worked to locate the suspect.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Officials said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
