Deputies searching for suspect after 6 injured in weekend shooting outside Orange County nightclub

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies are still working to get answers after a weekend drive-by shooting left six people injured.

The shooting happened outside the Toxic lounge on Crystal Clear Lane just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators said people gathered to see a performance by Puerto Rican rappers Yovngchimi and Dei V when someone in a car driving down Orange Blossom Trail began shooting into the building.

In all, six people inside the club were hurt.

Detectives said that because many of the victims were inside the club at the time of the shooting, many did not see who was responsible for the shooting.

The sheriff’s office said it believes the shooter may have been in a dark-colored SUV.

Investigators have not determined if the shooting was a random attack or if there was a specific motive.

Deputies ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
