ORLANDO, Fla. — More job cuts are planned at Disney.

The Walt Disney Company said it laid off hundreds of corporate employees on Tuesday as part of an ongoing effort to streamline operations and cut costs.

The workforce reductions primarily targeted staff in the company’s human resources and information technology departments.

The recent layoffs follow corporate downsizing efforts earlier in the year.

In April, Disney eliminated around 1,000 jobs across the company.
