Update: Lanes reopen after multi-car fatal crash on U.S. 192, according to traffic report

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Florida traffic reports show the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 192 are now open.

Update 6:39 p.m.

Florida traffic reports show the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 192 are open, but the westbound lanes are still shut down.

Florida Highway Patrol said a sedan was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 192 and approached Four Winds Boulevard.

According to a press release, the second sedan was traveling westbound, approaching the same road when the first car crossed over into oncoming traffic.

Investigators said as a result, the first car collided with the second car.

The three people who died were a 71-year-old man, who was also the driver, a 65-year-old woman, and a 78-year-old woman.

Update 1:54 p.m.

Florida traffic reports show all lanes are closed.

Because of the eastbound and westbound lanes shut down, FHP advises using an alternate route.

Three people have died after a crash in Osceola County, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the crash happened on U.S. Highway 192 and Four Winds Boulevard.

According to a news release, a Lexus and a Toyota were involved in the crash.

FHP said they confirmed three people died due to the collisions, but this is an ongoing investigation.
