FHP troopers investigating deadly Orange County crash involving pedestrian

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian that happened Friday night in Orange County.

The crash happened around 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Central Florida Parkway and International Drive.

Troopers said a Ford Edge was traveling eastbound on Central Florida Parkway approaching International Drive when a pedestrian, walking south, entered the roadway.

The pedestrian, not in a marked crosswalk, was struck by the Edge and was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Edge was not injured and remained at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation.
