$5.5 million in drugs confiscated during 11-month-long operation, Flagler County sheriff says

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies say $5.5 million of drugs and several suspects are off the street in Flagler County following an 11-month drug-bust operation.

Sheriff Rick Staly said the operation, dubbed Santa’s Naughty Little Helpers, netted arrest warrants for 35 people. He said they are not necessarily part of one large group, but there are some loose connections between the people on these boards.

That includes a father and two of his sons being sought in the operation.

Staly credits tips from the community in helping deputies round up more than half the names so far.

“To the poison peddlers we haven’t yet arrested or found, I suggest if your name is on this board and it doesn’t say arrested under your name, you can call us and we will come pick you up and turn yourself into the Green Roof Inn,” Staly said.

Staly said the drugs are coming into Flagler County from throughout central Florida. He said there’s a federal operation going on that could help bust the people bringing the drugs into our area, but because it is still underway he said he cannot say more just yet.
