Florida Rep. Anthony Sabatini reelected to represent District 32

Florida Rep. Anthony Sabatini won another term representing District 32.

Sabatini will keep his seat after defeating Democratic challenger Stephanie Dukes.

State House District 32 covers large parts of Lake County, including Leesburg, Groveland, Minneola, Mascotte and Clermont.

Sabatini has served a single term in the Florida House. Sabatini attended the University of Florida as an undergraduate and for law school. A resident of Howey-in-the-Hills, Sabatini is known as a staunch conservative and has spoken out against and challenged mask orders during the pandemic.

Dukes, is a retired educator. She supported the safe re-opening of schools during the pandemic, expanding Medicaid in Florida and improving transparency in the state’s criminal justice system to monitor for racial bias in police stops, arrests and convictions, according to her campaign website.
