ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported more than 10,000 new COVID-19 cases for the third day in a row on Saturday.
The state reported a total of 10,431 new cases, bringing the state’s total number of cases since the pandemic began to 1,049,638.

On Saturday, the state also reported an additional 91 deaths, with all but one of those being Florida residents. The state’s total death toll from the virus is now 19,327.
Of the most recent deaths, 18 were reported in Central Florida. The new cases also include 1,997 locally.

Orange County reported the highest total of new cases in Central Florida with 638.
The rise in cases recently moved Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings to start fining businesses that don’t follow proper COVID-19 protocols in the county.
