Front moves in, bringing wind, rain and high surf

ORLANDO, Fla. — Sunday will see a lot of changes happening with weather conditions across Central Florida.

There is a front overhead that will lead to cloudier and cooler skies. Conditions will be mostly cloudy, with highs in the 60s and 70s.

This front will also lead to very windy conditions.

Near the metro area, winds will reach 10-20 mph, but at our beaches, they will be stronger with sustained winds reaching 20-30mphm, and gusts as high as 40 mph.

A wind advisory is issued for coastal Flagler and Volusia counties starting at 10 a.m. The strong winds will make for some dangerous conditions on and in the water.

There is a small craft advisory and a gale warning in place for our coastal waters.

Seas will build throughout the day with surfing breaking at 4-7ft. Because of these levels, a high surf advisory has been issued - starting at 4 p.m. - as well as a coastal flood warning = starting at 4 p.m.

In addition, the chance for rain will increase Sunday afternoon and evening, but our beaches will again see a better chance for rain today. Inland, only spotty brief showers will be possible.
