FSU police said the situation is under control after a possibly armed man was seen on campus Monday afternoon.
Officers said it’s safe to resume normal activities.

A warning to “seek shelter now” was sent out on Monday by a safety organization at Florida State University.
FSU ALERT!* Dangerous Situation! A dangerous or life threatening situation exists on the FSU Campus. Seek shelter now.

Police said a man, who may have a gun, wearing shorts and no shirt was seen on foot in the direction of Stadium Drive from Jackson Bluff Road.
The warning said a dangerous or life-threatening situation exists on the FSU campus.
Police said anyone at the campus should shelter-in-place until an “all clear” message is given.
Law Enforcement Officers are in pursuit of a male subject wearing shorts and no shirt, traveling on foot in the direction of Stadium Drive from Jackson Bluff Road. Suspect potentially armed with a hand gun. Continue to Shelter-in-Place.
