Here are the new characters you’ll soon be able to meet at Disney

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — You’ll soon be able to make more new friends at Walt Disney World.


Disney announced Wednesday the following new character greetings coming to the parks.

They are:

  • Moana will come to Disney’s Animal Kingdom beginning April 22, just in time for the park’s 25th anniversary. She will greet fellow voyagers on Discovery Island.

  • Later this summer, EPCOT icon Figment will meet guests at the Imagination! Pavilion.
  • This fall, Mirabel from “Encanto” will be on hand to greet guests in Fairytale Garden at Magic Kingdom, which will be transformed “with whimsical décor inspired by la Familia Madrigal,” Disney said.

The new faces announced come after the return of other character experiences including Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel’s Grotto and Pete’s Silly Sideshow all at Magic Kingdom.

Also recently, The Mandalorian and Grogu (or “Baby Yoda”) became staples within Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
