Home destroyed in early morning fire in Ocala

OCALA, Fla. — An Ocala home was destroyed in an early morning fire Tuesday.

Ocala Fire Rescue said they were called to a house fire in the 700 block of Northwest 23rd Avenue just after 5 a.m.

When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found the two-story home engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said they were able to bring the fire under control within minutes of getting on the scene.

Officials said the home appears to have been vacant at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
