I-Drive hotel evacuated after balcony fire, Orange County Fire Rescue says

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Fire Rescue battled a fire at a hotel on International Drive.

According to a social media post, firefighters received the call around 3:40 p.m. Saturday.

When crews arrived, they found a fire in a planter box on the 14th-floor balcony at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

The hotel was evacuated as firefighters removed the smoke from the building.

Fire officials said the fire is out, and there are no reported injuries.
