ORLANDO, Fla. — Morimoto Asia in Orlando will host the inaugural Sushi Showdown on Sept. 21, 2026. The culinary competition will feature local sushi chefs competing head-to-head as guests sample signature dishes and vote for a champion.
The event features two tasting sessions, running from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and from 8:00 to 10:00 pm General admission tickets are $125, while a limited number of VIP packages are available for $700.
Dishes presented during the competition will be evaluated based on taste, freshness, and overall cohesiveness. Attendees will cast their votes for their favorite chef using a gold coin.
An optional beverage package will be available, featuring sake pairings from Dassai, Hakkaisan, Kubota, Nanbu Bijin, and Soto.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the evening alongside a live auction. All proceeds from the auction will go to Give Kids The World, a nonprofit organization that provides vacations for critically ill children and their families.
