MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A silver Jeep crashed into a one-story duplex in Ocklawaha yesterday afternoon, causing a partial structural collapse and sending one person to the hospital.

Marion County Fire Rescue received several 911 calls about the incident at 12:22 p.m. at a home near SE 189th Court.

Firefighters assessed one patient at the scene before transporting the individual to a local hospital for further medical treatment.

Emergency responders evacuated the duplex as a precaution while firefighter crews evaluated the structural damage and ensured there were no additional hazards present.

Emergency personnel confirmed that no occupants were trapped inside the building and all residents were accounted for following the incident.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
