FHP investigates deadly Lake County single-car crash

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened Sunday night in Lake County.

The crash happened around 7:35 p.m. near the intersection of State Road 46 and State Road 453.

Troopers said a Ford F-450 was traveling eastbound on S.R. 46 when for an unknown drove off the road and crashed into a fence.

After crashing through the fence, the pickup truck hit a bridge support, according to a news release.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation.
